The closed cell nature of the foam inhibits moisture and vapour ingress while thermoforming provides a durable, cleanable, puncture resistant skin. For these reasons, T-Tubes do not require the expensive to install, stainless steel or PVC jacketing that many of the competing open-cell or fibrous insulating materials need. Individual T-Tube components are fitted quickly and secured and sealed with an overlapping, PVDF, pressure sensitive adhesive tape, substantially reducing installation time.
T-Tubes have a working temperature range of –80°C to +160°C making them ideal for both low and high temperature insulation, typically on applications from chilled water and Glycol to superheated steam. This state of the art insulation system can be used throughout and across your complete requirement for insulation in areas such as: Vaccines production facilities, insulin production facilities, cell culture suites, fermentation, recovery & harvest, media & buffer preparation and purification suites.
Only 6,35mm in thickness, the T-Tube insulation system is highly efficient with tests indicating a thermal conductivity (K) of 0.0317 W/mK @ 22°C according to the ASTM C-518 test method. Being so thin enables it to be installed in practically any situation; space and accessibility are never a problem.
Installing T-Tubes in a biological, biotech, pharmaceutical, API or vaccine plant will allow a company to better control its energy costs while maintaining constant process conditions. T-Tubes® non-shedding construction, will allow a company to carry out insulation modifications and work without shutting down production, and negating the need to revalidate – thus saving substantial amounts of time and money.
